Sedation Dentistry

Your appointment, without the anxiety.

How long have you been having pain in your teeth?

Do you put off dental care that you know is critically important in keeping your mouth and the rest of your body healthy?

Have you been hiding your smile behind your hand?

Sedation Dentistry

Sometimes the only thing more crippling than the pain is the fear that keeps you from getting healthy.

You are not the only person who suffers from this debilitating fear.  Millions of people completely avoid the dentist for the same reasons you do.  This fear often leads to embarrassment which can destroy your confidence and make you more reserved and removed in social situations.  The embarrassment only serves to increase your fear, and often the pain will return with greater intensity.  It is a terrible cycle, but the cycle can be broken.

Imagine being able to get all the treatment needed to remove the pain and give you a healthy, beautiful smile; all the while being perfectly and very deeply relaxed, nearly oblivious to the treatment you are receiving, all of your fear gone, and having little or no memory of the appointment the next day.

It may sound like fiction, but with our absolute commitment to your comfort and the advances in modern dentistry, it can be the reality of your next dental appointment through Sedation Dentistry.

Many of our patients, who were once completely terrified by the idea of just setting up an appointment, have become completely comfortable seeking treatment at our office.  For some, they feel so comfortable that after one or two appointments they no longer need sedation.  For others, sedation continues to provide the comfort they deserve so they can get the care they need.

Don’t let your smile hold you back any longer.  Start living without the pain.  Contact us today.

Review of Sedation Dentristry

  • After some dental work as a child that was very painful and frightening, I have been very apprehensive about having any type of dental work performed as an adult. I had a tooth crack at Noontime on a Monday. Being fairly new to town, I didn’t know who to call for emergency dental work. After calling several offices and being turned down for an emergency appointment, Dr. Paul’s office told me to come over at 4 pm for first-come, first-served service. Two patients were ahead of me and it was after normal closing time for Dr. Paul to start work on me. He was very patient with me and understood how frightened I was to have dental work performed. He and his staff asked frequently about how I was doing while in the chair, if I was comfortable or in any pain, and was very gentle, comforting and understanding. My scheduled appointment for sedation went very well. I was provided with pre-treatment information about what to expect the day I came into the office. Upon arrival, I was walked through the process again by Dr. Paul and put at ease about the care and attention I was given. The procedure went very well for me because I didn’t have to experience anything that I would perceive as unpleasant. Dr. Paul went to work and when I woke up I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything went well. A family member was there to give me a ride home and I was able to rest comfortably. Dr. Paul provided prescriptions to help relieve the pain and swelling, which also made for a couple of days of recovery that were pain-free. I’ve come to feel that going to the dentist doesn’t make me anxious anymore. The staff at Dr. Paul’s is so friendly and helpful, and their smiles are contagious. I’ve found my preferred dentist here in Iron Mountain, he’s Dr. Paul. I’m looking forward to a long relationship with Dr. Paul that improves and maintains my dental health without apprehension and anxiety.
